CHELSIE NICHOLSON
Clinical Psychology Doctoral Practicum Therapist
Hello! My name is Chelsie Nicholson, and I am a Doctoral Practicum Therapist under the supervision of Licensed Clinical Psychologist Dr. Rumana Mansur. I am a fourth-year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. My experience includes providing individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in inpatient psychiatric hospitals and community-based settings.
As a practicum therapist, I aim to create a space where people feel free to be
themselves and safe to be vulnerable. I am deeply interested in emotional vulnerability
and believe there is great strength in embracing it. I strive to help people discover this
strength and find comfort in their vulnerability, enabling them to overcome unhealthy
patterns or issues in their lives and relationships.
I am passionate about helping others live their most authentic and fulfilling lives, no
matter how that may look. I aim to foster a supportive and nonjudgmental environment
where clients are empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings, ultimately being the
guide of their journey towards personal growth and self-fulfillment.
I bring ample experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and
incorporate an awareness and appreciation of issues related to diversity into my
therapeutic approach. I practice from a systems perspective, recognizing the influences
our relationships, communities, and the world around us have on us as individuals.
