MYKIYAA WALKER-SANCHEZ

Clinical Psychology Doctoral Practicum Student

Hello, my name is Mykiyaa Walker-Sanchez, and I am a Doctoral Practicum Therapist working under the supervision of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Feliciana Guanzon and Licensed Clinical Psychologist Dr. Rumana Mansur. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Walden University.

In my role as a practicum therapist, I provide therapeutic interventions to a diverse range of clients, including adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience addresses a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, communication difficulties, grief and loss, marital discord, and self-esteem concerns.

I am dedicated to addressing the stigma associated with mental health within communities of color and fostering an environment where individuals can seek support without fear of judgment or discrimination. My approach is grounded in creating a compassionate and secure therapeutic space, where clients are encouraged to share their experiences openly. I adopt a holistic perspective, considering how individual backgrounds and life contexts shape therapeutic needs and goals.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you on your journey towards well-being and personal growth.
